IWCOA & Illinois RTC Coaches Convention

Dates: October 14, 2022 (additional items scheduled for October 15 see below for details)

Location: University of Illinois, George Huff Hall, 1206 S 4th Street, Champaign, IL 61820

Registration:  5:00 PM - 5:30 PM, convention curriculum begins at 5:30 PM and concludes at 10:00 PM with social.

Coaches Convention Clinicians/Presenters: 

  • Michael Poeta - University of Illinois Head Coach, 2x NCAA Finalist, 2x Big Ten Champion, 3x NCAA All-American
  • Jeremy Hunter - University of Illinois Assistance Coach, NCAA Champion, 3x All-American
  • Ed Ruth - University of Illinois Assistant Coach, 3x NCAA Champion, 4x Big Ten Champion, 4x All-American, 2014 World Team Member
  • Isaiah Martinez - University of Illinois Assitant Coach, 4x NCAA Finalist, 2x NCAA Champion, 4x Big Ten Champion
  • Bryan Medlin - Illinois RTC Head Coach, World Team Coach, 2014 IWCOA Head Coach of the Year, 2X IHSA Dual Team Champion Head Coach
  • Live Rules Interpretation - will receive credit for attendance in your IHSA schools center
  • There will be a social on Friday night
  • Invitation to watch Fighting Illini wrestling practice Saturday morning

Social: There will be a social Friday evening for all attendees. Food and beverages will be served. 

Saturday RTC Tailgate & Football Game

  • Option to attend Illinois RTC Tailgate and University of Illinois Football game on Saturday (must purchase the $85 ticket option).

Tailgate/Football Game Location: University of Illinois, Memorial Stadium

Tailgate Start Time:  10:00AM

Cost: $40 per coach for Friday convention only, $85 per coach if attending Friday Convention and Saturday Tailgate/Football Game.
